Benevides and Associates Architects were founded in Bermuda in March of 1993. The objective with the firm has always been to maintain a high standard of design through the use of traditional Bermudian elements always trying to recapture and maintain the beauty of Bermuda’s past while incorporating the conveniences of the present.
Our Team
David Benevides, principle is a Bermudian, a graduate of Mount Allison with a Certificate of Engineering and Dalhousie University with a Bachelour of Environmental Design (Hons.) and a Masters of Architecture. He has had 35 years of experience with the architectural industry in Bermuda. He serves on the board of the Architects Registration Council.

Georgia Crowe-Benevides is from Texas. After almost 35 years of living in Bermuda, she is a Bermudian who, along with her husband David, founded the firm. She received her Bachelor’s of Architecture degree from the University of Houston in 1981(Hons.) and worked around the Caribbean until 1987 when she settled in Bermuda.

Deborah Ingham as Office Manager handles the day to day administration and overseas the accounts of Benevides and Associates. With years of accounting/administration experience she joined the firm in 2006. Deborah’s past work experience includes Banking, Captive Management, and Account Management in local and International companies. She completed her studies with The Bermuda College and the old Webster’s City Colleges of Chicago which was a part of the St. David’s US Air Force Base.
Standards, Codes & Ordinances
All architectural staff of Benevides and Associates are well versed in ADA Accessibility Guidelines and Uniform Federal Accessibility Standards. Our office is equipped with a library which includes literature on Bermuda Building Code, BOCA Code, Bermuda Planning Statement and International Building Code. We discuss and have extensive knowledge of the important topic of Environmental Impact Assessments and keep up to date with information provided by the two Bermuda Architectual boards on which a number of our staff are active board members.
